iRadar CZ+ 2.6.3

Would you like to track current radar, lightning, and meteorological data on your iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, or Apple Watch for free? For this purpose, we have prepared a unique application for you - iRadar CZ+. This app in the style of iOS 8+ displays current radar images of rain precipitation from the CZRAD network combined with images of lightning strikes from the Blitzortung.org network, allowing you to check the current weather conditions where you are. We believe that this application will be as beneficial to you as it is to us.

The application includes a wide range of settings and features such as changing map brightness, transparency of radar and lightning images, forecasting the movement of radar cloudiness, live lightning detection, display of meteorological stations, graphs, high-resolution webcams, precise GPS localization for determining your location, setting the number of downloaded images, and many other functions. Our application fully supports iPad, Retina, and Retina HD displays, and we are constantly working on enhancing it.

The radar data used in this application show fields of maximum radar reflectivities merged from the Brdy-Praha and Skalky radars. If data from any radar is unavailable, the invisible area is marked in gray. Data refresh interval is 10 minutes, and radar data resolution is set at 1 or 2 kilometers per pixel according to the setting.

The application features include:

• Browsing and animation of images from the CZRAD radar network at a 10-minute interval with a 60-minute cloud movement forecast
• Browsing and animation of images from the Blitzortung.org lightning detection system at a 10-minute interval
• Apple Watch support - radar and lightning data, alerts, weather stations, hydrological stations, air quality stations, and forecasts
• Live lightning detection from the Blitzortung.org system over the Czech Republic, Central Europe, and Europe
• Displaying current data from professional meteorological stations including history
• Displaying graphs from automatic meteorological stations
• Displaying images from high-resolution webcams
• Detection of convective cells and display of their attributes (details - reflectivity, probability of hail)
• CHMU alerts - SIVS
• METAR and TAF aviation reports
• Displaying levels and flows in rivers (hydrological stations)
• Graphic forecast from the WRF numerical model
• Displaying SKEW-T diagrams from aerological soundings
• Displaying wind profiles

Note: Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
